Delevan Elementary School Commended By the State
July 15, 2005
The state Board of Regents and the state Education Department recently commended Delevan Elementary School as a “high performing/ gap-closing school.” Delevan was recognized because it met all applicable state standards for English language arts and math during the 2003-2004 school year and made adequate yearly progress in English, math and science from 2002-2004.
Delevan was one of 361 elementary schools statewide to earn the distinction. If the school continues meeting eligibility requirements in the coming year, Delevan representatives will be invited to Albany to participate in a symposium at which schools can share their success stories.
