University of New Orleans Hires Principal to Head Its Charter School

The University of New Orleans chose Jonathan Williams, a former New Orleans Public Schools principal and administrator, to head its second charter school in New Orleans. Williams heads Medard H. Nelson Charter School, which will enroll 528 students in pre- kindergarten through eighth grade the next school year. Classes begin Aug. 22.
