Nevada Association of School Boards and the America's Schools Program Launch Schoolhouse Gourmet Coffee

Posted on: Wednesday, 10 August 2005, 21:00 CDT

Nevada Association of School Boards (NASB) and the America's Schools Program announced today the launch of Schoolhouse Gourmet Coffee as an additional revenue generator for our schools on or off campus.

The program will allow for both businesses and residents alike to purchase the freshest tasting gourmet coffee available, that will be delivered directly to your office or home.

"Schoolhouse Gourmet Coffee is an exciting and revolutionary way of providing this great tasting coffee to the state's coffee drinkers, while simultaneously developing a new revenue source for Nevada's schools," said Randy Robison, Executive Director of the Nevada Association of School Boards. "Now every coffee drinker can help fund our schools, through every cup of Schoolhouse Coffee they drink."

Funds raised by Schoolhouse Gourmet Coffee will go directly back into Nevada's schools to help fund K-12 school programs such as art, drama, music, sports, science labs and extra-curricular activities.

The Schoolhouse Gourmet Coffee is an added extension of NASB's continued partnership with America's Schools Program. It is a statewide effort to develop a new revenue system for our schools through the consumer purchase of "Officially Licensed Products and Services," bearing the America's Schools symbol. Hundreds of state and national corporations/businesses, state restaurant associations, government agencies, state utility companies, and city chambers of commerce have already partnered with the America's Schools National Recycling Program that was launched earlier this year by NASB and ASP. Companies like Nevada Power Company, Nevada Hospitality Foundation, Sierra Pacific Power, Henderson Chamber of Commerce, Nevada State Bank and Wells Fargo Bank of Nevada have already partnered in this statewide effort to help fund our schools.
