Achievement House Charter School Applauds Their First Graduating Class

BRYN MAWR, Pa., Aug. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- Jewel, a member of our Graduating Class of 2005, sent us a letter expressing her thoughts on Achievement House Charter School's contribution to making graduation possible for her classmates and her.
"I didn't think that I would be able to have a real graduation because I was going to school online. We all worked really hard to get to the end ... the stories are different but the end result is the same. They all say, 'I've waited so long for this' or 'I worked my whole life for this' and it's true, we really have. It's kind of weird now ... people ask me everyday, 'Did you graduate?' I smile at them and say, 'Yes!'"
Achievement House is a cyber charter school chartered by the Pa. Department of Education. We are a public school available to high school students throughout Pennsylvania at no cost. Students attend school via the Internet from their homes. Excellent teachers, mentors, and curriculum serve to help our students reach their individual potential at the pace at which they can achieve mastery of the materials.
Another graduate, Rebekah, had this to say:
"I had a better learning experience because of the individual attention that the teachers and staff gave me and how nice they were with everything - they were always willing to help out and always cared about what I needed. Because of Achievement House, I have now graduated high school a year early and I am pursuing my dream of learning abroad ... I have Achievement House to thank for that!"
Congratulations to our graduates of 2005!! The hugs and tears and promises to keep in touch have all been exchanged. Our first seniors have graduated and moved forward toward their futures! Now that our graduates have thanked us, we would like to thank them. Many of our seniors overcame obstacles to achieve their goal of graduating. There were students that were also parents, students who had returned to high school after dropping out, students who worked full-time while they attended school. Their stories were diverse but they shared a common desire to graduate. They succeeded! We are honored that they gave us the opportunity to share in their accomplishments.
