Chinese State Councillor stresses vocational education
ZHENGZHOU, Aug. 27 (Xinhua) -- Chinese State Councillor Chen Zhili asked local governments to put emphasis upon the development of vocational education during her inspection tour of central China's Henan Province on Aug. 26-27.
During the inspection, she chatted with students and talked with school heads on problems the vocational education is facing and measures for its reform while visiting several vocational education schools in Zhengzhou, capital of the province.
Chen said vocational education is an important way to improve the laborers' quality and abilities and also an effective measure to solve the employment issue.
"It is imperative to deepen educational reform and combine vocational education closely with serving for economic society," she said.
