PLATO Learning Products Receive Four ComputEd Gazette EDDIE Awards

PLATO Learning, Inc. (NASDAQ:TUTR), a leading provider of K-adult computer-based and e-learning solutions, announced that four products in its library have received ComputEd Gazette Education Software Review (EDDIE) Awards.

PLATO(R) Focus Reading and Language Program was named an EDDIE award winner in the Elementary Reading Category. In the middle school category, PLATO(R) Writing Process and Practice received the Language Arts EDDIE, and Worldview(R) American History received the EDDIE in Social Studies. Finally, PLATO(R) eduTest Assessment was the recipient of the Online Assessment Tool EDDIE.

From the list of award winners, the ComputED Gazette staff selected six top products for posted reviews, including PLATO eduTest. The review stated, "PLATO eduTest Assessment is an easy-to-use, comprehensive test preparation and assessment tool designed to quickly identify student, classroom, school, and district needs...PLATO eduTest simplifies the assessment process and provides greater control to educators." According to the ComputED Gazette web site, "The EDDIE Awards target innovative and content-rich programs and web sites that provide parents and teachers with the technology to foster educational excellence--including augmenting the classroom curriculum and improving teacher productivity. Winners are selected from titles submitted by software publishers around the world."
