OKC-Based McAfee & Taft Law Firm Adds New Associates

McAfee & Taft has added associates.
Mark D. Folger, who graduated magna cum laude from the Oklahoma City University School of Law in 2005, practices general business litigation. While in law school, Folger was a student member of the William J. Holloway Jr. American Inn of Court. He was also named to Phi Delta Phi and received the Phillips Allen Porta Memorial Legal Ethics Award given by the Oklahoma Bar Foundation to the law student with the highest performance in the study of legal ethics. He holds a bachelor's degree in economics from DePauw University.
Joshua D. Smith, who graduated with highest honors from the University of Oklahoma College of Law in 2005, practices in the areas of corporate and securities law and commercial transactions. His law school credits include being named to the Order of the Coif, serving on the judiciary committee of Oklahoma Law Review and receiving the Paul and Jo Ann Sharp Law Review Award, and earning American Jurisprudence awards in Property, Securities Regulation, Commercial Law and Professional Responsibility. He was also honored with the Oklahoma Bar Association's Corporate Law Section Award in 2003.
While an undergraduate at OU, the Moore native lettered in football in 2000 and 2001, won the Derrick Shepard Award in 2000, and was a member of the 2000 national championship team. He graduated with a bachelor's degree in psychology in 2002.
Smith also serves as the youth director at Hillcrest Presbyterian Church with his wife, Julie.
