August 29, 2011

The Bureau for At-Risk Youth releases latest buyerâs guide to address guidance and counseling efforts.

Woodbury, NY (PRWEB) August 29, 2011

The Guidance Group announces its publication of The Bureau for At-Risk Youth Fall 2011 Buyerâs Guide. This catalog of low-cost, prevention tools is focused on helping children and teens from grades 3-12 make smart, safe life choices.

The catalog includes over 200 research-based supplemental materials including curricula, live action DVDâs, activity books, handouts, posters, and much more. All the resources were designed to be easy-to-use in a classroom or counseling environment. Some of the vital issues covered include school violence prevention, classroom anger management, anti-bullying in school, responsibility, saying âœno,â safe relationships, and smart decision-making.

Of special note is a new DVD series, Stepping On Up, featuring the nationally renowned counselor, comedian, and actor Michael Pritchard. For the first time Pritchard works with puppets to teach life lessons to elementary school-aged children on 16 important topics including bullying, cyber-safety, life skills, and more. The program includes comprehensive Leaderâs Guides that are available online to help teachers and counselors make the program as effective as possible.

The Bureau For At-Risk Youthâs web site has recently undergone a redesign featuring easy-to-use navigation tools and an overall fresh, new look.
