WILLIAMSBURG and RESTON, Va., Oct. 26 /PRNewswire/ -- Two of the world's top business publications have recognized the Executive MBA Program at The College of William & Mary School of Business to be among the nation's best. The program is taught both in Reston, Va., and at the college's main campus in Williamsburg, Va.
In its biennial survey of recent executive MBA graduates, Business Week ranked William & Mary's marketing program second in the nation. Financial Times included the EMBA program among the top 75 worldwide and ranked William & Mary third in meeting alumni goals.
The College of William & Mary and its Executive MBA Program are ranked high regularly by news media surveys of graduates and company recruiters.
* The Princeton Review this month ranked the School of Business eighth for "best faculty" in its guide, Best 237 Business Schools. * In September the Wall Street Journal ranked The College of William & Mary 19th regionally, up from 25th in 2004. The annual rankings are based entirely on corporate recruiter ratings of the school, current recruiting and intent to recruit in the future. * In August Newsweek and U.S. News and World Report magazines ranked The College of William & Mary among the nation's best colleges and universities. Newsweek called the college the "hottest small state school" in the nation. U.S. News & World Report ranked William and Mary sixth among public universities and colleges -- the same ranking as last year -- and 31st among all public and private universities in its survey of "National Universities: Top Schools." * Among all the executive programs in Virginia, last year Financial Times included in its top list only William & Mary's Executive MBA program.
"This latest accolade solidly confirms The College of William & Mary's standing among institutions of higher learning in the nation," said President Gene R. Nichol. "Whether rated by students and their families, alumni, the news media or America's corporate scouts, our college gets consistently high marks. We are very pleased to be counted among the best."
