Re-Elect Pugh to Board
Posted on: Tuesday, 8 November 2005, 00:00 CST
Fairborn voters should re-elect Don Pugh to the Fairborn school board. His record of service to Fairborn has been strong and consistent for many years.
Pugh has the education and background to continue doing well on the board. He is a graduate of Fairborn High School and also has a bachelor's degree in communication and a master's degree in strategic planning. He has put his experience in management, finance, supply, planning and negotiations at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base to good use for the Fairborn community. He is a constant supporter of the schools and very involved in talking about Fairborn.
Under his leadership, the schools have been restructured to provide a more focused effort on curriculum to match the state standards for the primary, intermediate and high schools. The teachers, students and parents all know what is being taught and how it matches up with the state goals and the achievement tests.
Pugh has led the Fairborn school board in postponing the financial crisis by making tough choices, while keeping the focus on children and teachers. We are proud of him and urge voters of Fairborn to re-elect him on Tuesday.
