Group honors St. John Baptist school leader
NASHVILLE, Tenn. St. John the Baptist Parish School Superintendent Michael Coburn has been named the Renaissance Learning Educational Leader of the Year, earning national recognition for his success at effectively implementing learning improvement programs in the districts schools.
Coburn received the award at the general session of the Renaissance Learning Conference held in Nashville Feb. 9-12, and included more than 100 professional development workshops on the latest teaching techniques, research and learning software proven to help educators accelerate learning in the classroom.
