Kevin Lowe, 10 Fairlawn Elementary

Parents: May-Ann and Jeffrey Lowe of Fort Pierce. His mom’s a kindergarten teacher here.

Recent accomplishments: Elected student council president with best friend and VP Cole Singley. Their campaign slogan: “The Dynamic Duo – Vote For Singley and Lowe.” Has led students in a holiday food drive (broke school record for over 4,000 pounds), singing Christmas carols at a nursing home and selling carnations for a Valentine’s Day fund-raiser. Has been on the Principal’s Honor Roll since first grade and was Fairlawn’s spelling bee champ for grades 2 to 5. Was the school representative at the countywide spelling bee and has been accepted into Lincoln Park Academy’s 6th grade gifted program.

What I like most about school: Lunch and friends.

My favorite subject: Math. Likes the challenge of working with numbers.

My favorite teacher and why: Likes all his teachers. “They are easy to learn from.”

In my spare time, I: Play baseball and football with friends. His father is his mentor and baseball coach.
