New York University Stern School of Business is extending its #1 ranked* Langone Part-time MBA Program to a site in Westchester and will begin offering classes in this location in September 2006. Stern already offers working professional students evening and weekend-only options at its Washington Square Campus in New York City. The new Westchester location provides students with yet another way to pursue an MBA at Stern, as well as the added flexibility to choose a preferred option based on schedule or location, according to individual needs and preferences. Stern's Admissions Office is now accepting applications for September 2006 enrollment.
"We are actively listening to our part-time MBA market, and our prospects and students consistently cite flexibility as the most important consideration in being able to pursue an MBA," said Thomas F. Cooley, dean, NYU Stern School of Business. "Our new Westchester location will make it that much more convenient for working professionals in the area to advance their careers without stepping away from their careers."
Students who enroll in Westchester will earn the same Stern MBA in General Management as their peers in Washington Square, and will take the same curriculum and learn from the same faculty. They will take the majority of their coursework in a university environment in Westchester where Stern is securing dedicated classroom space for its students. Additionally, they will be required to take some electives at Stern's Washington Square campus, giving them the opportunity to network and engage in peer-to-peer learning with Stern's approximately 2,500 current MBA students. Westchester-based students will also be able to take advantage of career planning and one-on-one counseling through Stern's Career Center for Working Professionals (CCWP), as well as other co-curricular programming offered at Stern's Washington Square campus.
