RE “LAWMAKERS TO PUSH VOUCHERS,” FEB. 28: Politicians must think citizens are just loaded with money to burn. Democratic state Rep. Dixie

Allen and Republican House Speaker Jon Husted want tax money to send children to private schools.

Residents of Dayton passed a new school levy a few years ago to build new schools . There are several schools now being built.

With student enrollment declining each year and new schools being built, why do we need money pouring in from different directions for the private education for some and not for all?

Maybe we need to do away with pubic schools and let all schools become private.

Many private schools have mandatory religious teachings along with general subjects. The rules can be strict and students are disciplined when necessary. Some students find their courses are too difficult.

Public schools are free, accepting many diversified beliefs and ideology. Students who have problems with academics or behavior should be accepted to a special public school accordingly.
