The Academy of Tucson Middle School, 2300 N. Tanque Verde Loop Road, will provide information about the school's academic expectations and extracurricular activities to new and prospective students next week.
Presentations will run from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. next Tuesday for sixth-graders, March 22 for seventh-graders and March 23 for eighth- graders. The event is free.
Administration, faculty and students will provide insight about how to succeed at the school, said the school's office manager, Dee Houston.
"For those students who've applied or may be interested in applying to our school, this is a chance to give them as much information as we can," she said.
The students at the school will have fun, but they also need to be prepared to work hard, Houston said.
"We're a college preparatory school, and it's important for students to understand that," she said.
Parents and students will have the opportunity to ask questions and tour the school.
The Academy of Tucson Inc. includes elementary, middle and high schools. All three are charter schools.
