May 10--Two Puyallup educators were surprised with accolades last week after being selected as the district's teachers of the year.
Amy Hedges teaches first- and second-graders in the Puyallup Family Co-op at Firgrove Elementary School. Bob Rink is the band director at Ferrucci Junior High School.
The pair were surprised during staff meetings at their schools. They were nominated by peers and will be considered for regional awards.
