Dinner and Dance Raises Money for Elementary Reading Program

May 10--A spaghetti dinner and dance on May 20 will benefit the Evergreen Elementary School's reading program.

The all-ages event will start at 6 p.m., with dinner ending at 8:30 p.m. and dance music continuing "until the dancers stop" at the Longbranch Improvement Club, 4312 Key Peninsula Highway S., Longbranch. The Blues Passage Band will play acoustic and amplified country and blues.

"After 'Ours" students from Evergreen Elementary and Key Peninsula Middle schools also will perform, and the 2006 Evergreen Elementary Blues Kids will make a presentation. Larson Anthropological Services Limited and Baillie & Associates Inc. are sponsoring the event.

Tickets are $12 for adults and $6 for children and can be purchased at the door. For information, call 253-858-1499.
