May 10–In celebration of National Teacher’s Day on Tuesday, Wal-Mart honored 4,000 teachers nationwide, including 14 from Orange County.

Each teacher will receive a $1,000 educational grant for their school and a $100 gift certificate to buy supplies for their classroom.

One teacher was selected as the local winner from each Wal-Mart, Sam’s Club and Neighborhood Market across the United States. Winners were nominated by community members and then selected by a committee of store employees.
