Three Career Education Corporation Schools Receive Accreditor's Schools of Distinction Award

Career Education Corporation (NASDAQ:CECO) announced today that three of its schools have received the 2006 Schools of Distinction Award from the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges of Technology (ACCSCT). The Pennsylvania Culinary Institute (PCI) in Pittsburgh, Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts Atlanta, and Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts Las Vegas were among the 31 award winners selected on June 12, 2006 from the 828 ACCSCT - accredited schools.
ACCSCT is recognized by the United States Department of Education as a private, non-profit, independent accrediting agency dedicated to ensuring a quality education for more than 220,000 students who attend ACCSCT accredited institutions. The award recognizes member schools that have demonstrated a commitment to the expectations and rigors of ACCSCT accreditation by delivering quality educational programs to their students, graduates and employers.
