AMDG, Inc. And AOL@SCHOOL Partner to Deliver High School Courses Online

Posted on: Friday, 14 July 2006, 15:00 CDT

AMDG, Inc., one of the nation's most comprehensive education and training institutions for online courses, and AOL@SCHOOL, a leader in online resources for teachers and students, today announced a partnership to deliver online high school courses. The partnership gives students, of all ages around the world, a new way to successfully complete their U.S. high school education, obtain a diploma, take advanced placement (AP) courses or prepare for higher education. Courses will be accessed via the AOL@SCHOOL home page.

"Today's students are more mobile; more digitally oriented and have diverse needs in their education," said Mark Stevens, education director and general manager of AOL@SCHOOL. "We are excited to partner with AMDG because of its solid and time-tested reputation for quality course content. Now we can offer teachers and students more options to fit into their busy schedules and take courses that might not be offered in their high school. We think online learning is a great way to help students achieve their goals."

"We are thrilled to team with AOL@SCHOOL to offer our most popular courses to students desiring a richer high school education," said Greg Morse, chairman of AMDG, Inc. "Our goal is to help all students gain access to the courses they need, at the times they need them."

Starting today, students will be able to register for fall courses and earn credits that can be transferred back to their own high schools. They will be able to select their schedule and earn their diplomas online through AMDG's accredited high school program.

Since 1999, thousands of public, independent, home-schooled and adult students from all over the country have enrolled in AMDG's accredited online K-12 program. These students have anytime, anywhere access to a quality education through AMDG. In addition to more than 160 academic courses ranging from remedial to honors and AP, AMDG also offers foreign language, enrichment, and elective courses. All courses are Section 508 compliant and adhere to ISTE (International Society for Technology in Education) and SCORM (Shareable Content Object Reference Model) standards.

AMDG is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS), Commission for International and Transregional Accreditation (CITA), and the Georgia Accrediting Commission (GAC).
