New York City will launch a school year program at select schools within Regions 4 and 10, focusing on those students who need help in mathematics. The Philadelphia summer program will assist those students who have struggled with the Pennsylvania System of School Assessment (PSSA) Mathematics test and other math academic achievement milestones. The Miami-Dade County implementation of SmartHelp is geared toward students who require remediation specific to standardized testing for math, with its learning pathway correlated to the Florida Comprehensive Assessment Test (FCAT).

"As with all major American cities, Philadelphia faces a growing need to reach out to diverse learners, including those who have limited English proficiency," said Dr. Mary Lou Fischer, Executive Director of Curriculum and Instruction, School District of Philadelphia. "SmartHelp is a natural fit for our district because it allows us to leverage cutting-edge technology while simultaneously reaching our diverse learners."
