Maric College – Modesto to Host a Graduation Ceremony for 250 Students Wednesday

Maric College — Modesto announced that it will host a graduation ceremony for 250 students Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. at the Modesto City Center Plaza at 1000 L Street, Modesto, Calif.

Students will be recognized for earning associate’s degrees and diplomas in six programs including criminal justice and allied health. Upon graduation, students may be eligible for entry-level positions in their field of study, many of which are in high demand throughout the state. According to the California Employment Development Department, Labor Market Information Division report on California Occupational Employment Projections, 2006, medical assistant positions are expected to increase by 35.7 percent and respiratory therapist positions by 22.4 percent from 2004 to 2014.

“Graduation is a very exciting time for our college and I am pleased that our college has had the privilege of helping to shape so many lives,” said Kevin Puls, Executive Director of Maric College — Modesto. “Many of our students have had to overcome a variety of obstacles to fulfill their educational goals and I am honored to witness their accomplishments.”

Maric College — Modesto is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges of Technology (ACCSCT). ACCSCT is listed as a nationally recognized accrediting agency by the United States Department of Education. The campus currently offers five associate’s degree and diploma programs.
