School Reopens, Traffic Busy Again
By Steve Lyttle, The Charlotte Observer, N.C.
Jan. 2–Motorists, your holiday break has ended.
It’s back to nearly normal rush hour conditions today in the Charlotte metro region.
The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools and most private schools return to the classroom today after the holiday break, and that means traffic will be heavy again today. Students have been out of classes since the Friday before Christmas, and traffic conditions were very light last week.
Motorists are reminded to be careful near school buses this morning and to watch for children along the sides of streets.
