South University Receives 10-Year Accreditation From the Commission on Colleges, Southern Association of Colleges and Schools

SAVANNAH, Ga., Jan. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- South University has received notice from the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) that the institution has received reaffirmation of its accreditation for 10 years.
"This 10-year accreditation is a significant achievement for our faculty, staff and students," said John T. South, III, chancellor of South University. "By passing the most rigorous accreditation standards, it demonstrates a commitment to excellence in education at each of our five university campuses."
To achieve its re-accreditation, South University underwent an in-depth review of it policies, practices, curriculum, faculty, staff and students. Under the direction of Dr. Joe Harm, vice president of academic affairs, South University successfully passed the intensive review process, considered by many educators to be the toughest in the United States.
South University operates campuses in Savannah, Ga.; Columbia, S.C.; Montgomery, Ala.; Tampa, Fla. and West Palm Beach, Fla. In addition, South University offers a number of degree programs in a 100 percent online delivery format available to students nationwide.
