Oklahoma City University’s Kramer School of Nursing will begin offering package deals for some of its degree programs beginning in the fall 2007 and spring 2008 semesters.

Three degree programs may now be purchased as packages – the master of science in nursing (education track), the RN-to-BSN program and the bachelor’s-to-BSN program.

“Oklahoma City University’s nursing program is already unique in that students are not required to take an entrance exam and can begin their nursing education right away,” said Marvel Williamson, dean of the school of nursing. “Now we’re making it simpler to become a nurse by offering package rates. This will allow adults returning to school to plan their budgets more easily.”

Tuition for all required courses is frozen at the starting rate, which means students will not experience tuition increases for the duration of the program. Also included in the package deal is an automatic 25-percent scholarship, as well as textbooks and software, most campus fees, parking permit, wellness center membership, graduation fee and cap and gown and a $1,000 spending allowance, which may be used to buy a laptop, offsetting transportation costs, child care or housekeeping.

Package rates are: Bachelor’s-to-BSN Program, for students who start January 2008, $38,500; RN-to-BSN for students who start between August 2007 and January 2008, $18,500; and the master of science in nursing for students who start in August 2007, $28,000.
