March 24, 2007
Students and faculty at Hempfield High School were dismissed from school early Friday after a bomb threat was found written on a bathroom wall.
School officials reported the threat to police after it was reported by a student, according to a report filed Friday afternoon by East Hempfield police Officer A.J. Lombardo.
Students and faculty were evacuated from the building as a precaution at about 2:35 p.m., and the school was searched by police and the county K-9 unit. The school was reopened for extracurricular activities following the search.
