The FBF was established to to provide a valuable Business Education which includes Accounting, Banking, Finance, Marketing, International Business and Technology Management.
The faculty offers distinct and integrated programmes designed to meet the country’s demand for graduates in the public and private sectors.

The establishment of School of Economics and Business in July 1996 to conduct courses for the needs of the semi-professional group in the business industries signified the beginning of the present Faculty of Business and Finance.
The faculty was named Faculty of Business and Finance when L&G- Twintech Institute of Technology was upgraded to University College status in September 2003.
IUCTT was awarded the ISO 9001:2000 in May 2004. The international recognition covers scopes which include “the provision of degree, diploma and post graduate programmes in 10 faculties, and eight administrative departments, including the Library Resource Centre”.

Weak students are given special classes to improve and upgrade their performance.
The university provides good teaching methodology supported by modern technology when delivering lessons to students.
A combination of lectures, tutorials, course textbooks, hand-out materials, case studies, class assignments and projects, audio- visual aids and industrial training are provided to encourage discussion, participation and interaction among students.
This provides the opportunity to integrate theory with practical skills.
It also emphasises life-long learning, balanced learning and experience, inclusive of academic and non-academic achievements, personal development and social responsibilities.
This is targeted at producing market-driven and highly employable graduates.
The FBF is always responsive to market needs and forward-looking in course design and delivery.
It has consistently attracted students because its qualifications are recognised by LAN and other government and non-government bodies.
It provides intensive English, Mathematics and computer classes to further strengthen the foundation of the students in the Faculty of Business and Finance.
