PITTSBURGH, June 1 /PRNewswire/ -- The Brown Mackie College school locations in Indiana (Fort Wayne, South Bend, Michigan City, and Merrillville) have announced the addition of three new bachelor's degree programs in Legal Studies, Criminal Justice, and Business Administration to their curricula. This expansion of academic programs includes the first bachelor's degrees being offered at Brown Mackie College school locations, which has traditionally offered associate's, diploma, and certificate degree programs.
The new Bachelor of Science (BS) in Legal Studies, Bachelor of Science (BS) in Business Administration, and (BS) Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice will be offered in a convenient monthly delivery model, to aid students as they balance work, life, and class demands. Each new bachelor's program requires students to complete 180 quarter-credit hours.
"At Brown Mackie College, we take pride in our efforts to prepare students to enter exciting new career fields, or help them advance in their current professions," says Danny Finuf, president of the Brown Mackie College system of schools. "We believe that the addition of these new bachelor's programs will respond to an employment need in the state of Indiana, and assist our students in their pursuit of obtaining a quality education."
The BS in Legal Studies prepares students to enter the legal field. The program is designed to give graduates a broad understanding of legal theory, subject matter, and in-depth analysis of legal issues impacting today's society. The Legal Studies program will prepare students for entry-level positions such as Legal Assistant, Courtroom Deputy, Victim Assistant Advocate, and Corporate Research Assistant.
The BS in Criminal Justice program prepares graduates for entry-level positions in the criminal justice field, providing students with a broad perspective and critical insight into various segments of this field. Sample job titles related to completion of this program include Corrections Officer, Youth Care Worker, and Loss Prevention Agent.
The BS in Business Administration program is built on a foundation of general studies in mathematics, social sciences, humanities, science, language arts and key business competencies. The program prepares graduates to enter a variety of fields within the business arena, including entry-level positions such as Marketing Manager, Compensation and Benefits Manager, Financial Services Manager, and Administrative Director.
