Carnegie Learning’s Math Prep for the CAHSEE Meets Review Criteria of the California Learning Resource Network
Carnegie Learning, Inc., the leading publisher of research-based math curricula for middle, high school, and postsecondary students, announced today that its high-stakes test preparation solution for California students, Math Prep for the CAHSEE, has been reviewed by the California Learning Resource Network (CLRN) as a solution that meets the organization’s review criteria.
CLRN is a resource for teachers and administrators seeking details about high quality educational technology programs for their students. Educators who specialize in specific content areas are selected through an application process to review materials for CLRN after completing extensive review training. All programs successfully reviewed by CLRN are required to align with California state standards and meet Legal and Social compliance requirements. Information about Carnegie Learning’s Math Prep for the CAHSEE can be found on the CLRN website at www.clrn.org.
“This is a great opportunity for Carnegie Learning to expand our research-based curriculum solutions into a preparation course for students taking the California High School Exit Examination,” said Mary Murrin, Carnegie Learning’s Vice President of Marketing. “Unlike most test prep programs where instructors pull together various components of the school’s or district’s existing math curricula for review, Carnegie’s Math Prep is a comprehensive course customized to the unique requirements of the California exit exam.”
Carnegie Learning’s CAHSEE Math Prep course includes 130 hours of instruction and review on topics from the CAHSEE test, including Number Sense, Measurement and Geometry, Algebra and Functions, Algebra I, and Probability and Data Analysis. Students’ instructional models are individualized through a comprehensive, software based, pre-test. Teachers can monitor student progress through reports, as well as on mid- and post-tests.
