Zap2it Introduces New Proprietary Advertising Opportunity to TV Listings
Posted on: Tuesday, 24 July 2007, 18:16 CDT
CHICAGO, July 24 /PRNewswire/ -- Zap2it today introduced a new promotional vehicle designed to help cable and broadcast network advertisers build awareness and drive viewership for their programming. The proprietary "Show Sponsorship" enables an advertiser to differentiate a program listing within Zap2it's widely-used TV grids and deliver a high-impact tune-in message to prospective viewers tied directly to that listing.
The first element of the "Show Sponsorship" is a visual listing enhancement. The colorization of the grid cell for a specified program within Zap2it's recently redesigned TV listings grids serves to grab the attention of users who are deciding what to watch. The second element is a companion ad which launches adjacent to the highlighted grid cell. The 300 x 250 pixel, rich media-friendly unit offers additional program information, video or other elements designed to further engage users and encourage tune-in.
The "Show Sponsorship" was specifically developed to meet the needs of network advertisers for whom setting their programming apart in a sea of choices and driving sampling is a constant challenge.
"We strive to develop and offer the most innovative and effective promotional vehicles to our valued tune-in clients," said Rebecca Baldwin, Zap2it's General Manager. "The 'Show Sponsorship' represents the latest addition to a suite of solutions designed to help our advertisers build audiences. For cable networks, this is a unique opportunity to promote their offerings to Zap2it users during the decision-making process and ultimately, convert viewers."
Zap2it currently reaches an average of 2.7 million unique visitors per month according to Nielsen//NetRatings.
