ESPRE Solutions, Inc. (PINKSHEETS: EPRT), a Dallas-based media solutions and technology company with a revolutionary and patented video compression technology, today reports that its customer, Global IP Solutions (GIPS), a multimedia technology company delivering real-time communications solutions based in San Francisco and licensor of ESPRE's best-of-breed LSVX Video CODEC, has announced that Oracle plans to incorporate the GIPS VoiceEngine Multimedia LSVX Video CODEC into Oracle(TM) Communicator, a SIP/SIMPLE-based PC softphone client that allows communications service providers to set up sessions including voice and video calling, presence status and instant messaging.
Gary Hermansen, President and CEO for Global IP Solutions, stated in GIPS' August 13th, press release regarding the Oracle decision, "We are proud that GIPS' technology will be incorporated into the world's largest enterprise software company's VoIP solution. Oracle sets the bar in technology standards and we are happy that GIPS is again recognized for its industry leading technology."
On January 30, 2007, ESPRE announced a right-to-use license agreement whereby GIPS received a license to ESPRE's LSVX CODEC for real-time communications. In February of this year, GIPS announced that it had successfully integrated the LSVX CODEC into GIPS' VoiceEngine Multimedia and that it had shipped its first customer evaluations. The Oracle announcement is the first involving the LSVX CODEC.
Pete Ianace, ESPRE Solutions' President and CEO, comments on GIPS' announcement stating, "We are very pleased to hear the news that our partner GIPS has successfully deployed ESPRE's LSVX CODEC. This release validates our decision to license ESPRE's video compression technology to Global IP Solutions. We believe that now that one of our customers has deployed a business quality video chat solutions, such as GIPS has done with Oracle, it will change everyone's expectations of how web-based video should look and perform, and establish GIPS LSVX as the de facto industry standard."
