Frost & Sullivan announced today it has awarded Comcast the 2007 North American Consumer IP Communications Services Customer Value Enhancement Award. Based on its recent competitive analysis in the North American consumer IP communications services market, Frost & Sullivan chose Comcast for successfully expanding its customer base with more innovative ideas and enhancements than its competitors. The award is also based on the recognition that Comcast's sales, service and customer acquisition strategies have helped grow the product and met customers' needs.
According to Cathy Avgiris, Senior Vice President and General Manager for Comcast Digital Voice, "We are delighted to accept this award from Frost & Sullivan. Our employees have been working incredibly hard to deliver a reliable alternative to plain old phone service and we're thrilled to see that hard work is being recognized."
If new Comcast Digital Voice subscriptions continue to grow at current rates, the Company will be on track to become the fourth largest residential phone provider in the U.S. by the end of this year.
"Overall, Comcast has made great strides in its triple play strategy and ramping up associated operations," says Ms. Starr. "It is in recognition of this progress that Frost & Sullivan cites Comcast with its Customer Value Enhancement Award."
