Brady Likely to Continue to Smash Marino’s Records, Says BetOnline

September 23, 2011

PANAMA CITY, September 23, 2011 /PRNewswire/ –

First it was the regular season record for most touchdown passes; Tom
Brady’s 50 TD passes in 2007 topped Dan Marino’s long-standing record of 48.
Now Brady looks set to take Marino’s regular season record for most passing
yards (5,084).

The 2011 season is only two games deep, but thanks to Brady’s torrid
start – amassing 940 passing yards – but if he keeps up this pace, he will
compile 7,520 passing yards, shattering Marino’s 27 year old record.

Brady isn’t the only QB on pace to break the record; Cam Newton, Phillip
Rivers, Drew Brees and Tony Romo are all on pace to throw more than 5,084
yards this year. BetOnline, the fastest growing sportsbook in the US, puts
the odds of Marino’s record falling as the -180 favorite.

“Obviously Newton will cool off and it’s highly doubtful that Romo will
be able to come close to the record,” said BetOnline’s Dave Mason. “But
Brady, Rivers and Brees have each led the league in season passing yardage
over the last few years. In 2008 Brees threw for 5069 yards – just 15 yards
shy of the record. This record is going-down this year.”

“And if all these quarterbacks cool-off — as most will, the ‘No’ pays
out at a generous +140,” Mason said. “We’re not afraid to put our money
where mouths are. And we’ll take as a little as a buck on this prop, or go
as high as $25,000 a game for NFL-higher than anywhere, even Vegas.”

BetOnline also offers the highest odds on live, in-game wagering. “This
product has taken the industry by a storm,” Mason said. “Hugely popular, and
hugely profitable-for the players at least!”
