AMI and Cumulus Launch Country Weekly Branded Radio Segments

NEW YORK, Oct. 19, 2011 /PRNewswire/ — American Media, Inc., publishers of the leading print and digital celebrity, health and fitness magazines in the United States and Cumulus Media Inc., the country’s largest pure-play radio broadcaster, today announce the launch of a branded new radio segment, “News from Country Weekly Magazine.” These minute-long segments are broadcast daily on more than 80 country music radio stations beginning today.

The segments, originally hosted by country radio personality Lisa Manning on WSM-FM in Nashville, feature stories from Country Weekly, the No. 1 country music magazine, and will air multiple times in morning and afternoon drive time.

Other notable features include live excerpts of upcoming red carpet CMA-style events.
