The new OpenTable mobile website leverages HTML5 to deliver an entirely new look and feel, designed to mirror the elegance of the OpenTable mobile app experience. The new site also allows OpenTable users to find restaurant reservations using geolocation, which makes it easy to quickly locate and book available tables at nearby restaurants. In addition, diners can instantly refine their search by neighborhood, cuisine and price points, and access photos, maps, menus and parking information, along with one of the most highly requested features: reviews from verified OpenTable diners. Android, iPhone, Windows Phone and BlackBerry devices are currently supported.
“OpenTable is constantly improving its mobile solutions in an effort to better match our restaurant customers with diners on the go,” said Scott Jampol, OpenTable Senior Director of Consumer Marketing. “With the enhancement of our mobile website, we now have a suite of offerings that makes finding and booking the perfect restaurant easy and convenient, whether a diner is using our native app or a mobile browser.”
In addition to revamping the mobile website, OpenTable has expanded its portfolio of mobile products with the introduction of a brand new app for the Android Honeycomb tablet. OpenTable also recently upgraded its award-winning mobile apps for the iPhone and iPad, allowing users to easily export reservations to their calendars, and for the Windows Phone, leveraging the Mango Live Tile capability for reservation reminders. OpenTable allows diners to find and book reservations at more than 20,000 different restaurants in multiple countries from the Web, a smartphone or tablet. Currently, OpenTable mobile applications (www.opentable.com/mobile) are available for Android, BlackBerry, iPad, iPhone, webOS and Windows Phone.
