Carville and Matalin to Host Political Summit in New Orleans Next Week

Leading Political Insiders from Both Parties will Gather on November 16 to Discuss Taking the Poison out of Partisanship

WASHINGTON, Nov. 9, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ — The Bipartisan Policy Center (BPC) is geared up to host its third annual political summit, Taking the Poison out of Partisanship, at Tulane University in New Orleans next Wednesday, November 16, 2011. Hosted by popular political duo James Carville and Mary Matalin, the much anticipated event will feature more than a dozen current and former elected officials, national political strategists from both sides of the aisle, and prominent journalists. Panel discussions throughout the day-long event will explore how Democrats and Republicans can come together as the heated 2012 presidential campaign gears up to address the tough issues facing the country.

This year’s participants include: New Orleans Mayor Mitch Landrieu; John Avlon; Dan Bartlett; Tulane University President Scott Cowen; Hollywood producer RJ Cutler; Peter Fenn; Secretary Dan Glickman; pollster Stan Greenburg; POLITICO‘s John F.
