DeVito/Verdi Honored With Six Prizes at Clio Healthcare Awards Show, Most of Any U.S. Agency
NEW YORK, Nov. 11, 2011 /PRNewswire/ — The New York advertising agency DeVito/Verdi stuffed its healthcare trophy case last night following the annual Clio Healthcare Awards show where it won five bronze awards and one silver – and it hopes to keep adding trophies following the results of next month’s Global Awards.
Both awards shows honor creative and marketing excellence in healthcare communications. The Clio Healthcare Awards is an extension of the famed Clio Awards, which recognizes the best advertising work in the world. The Global Awards is considered one of the most coveted honors in international healthcare communications.
At the Clios last night, the agency received the most awards of any U.S. agency, as it was recognized for its recent work on behalf of two hospitals: Lenox Hill Hospital (New York City) and Abington Memorial Hospital (suburban Philadelphia). The agency won a silver award in the Print category for a newspaper ad created for Abington. It went on to take home bronze awards for three other Abington print ads, and for the entire newspaper campaign. The agency won its fifth bronze award of the night for a print ad created for Lenox Hill Hospital.
In addition, a total of six print advertisements for Abington and Lenox Hill will vie for the top prizes at the upcoming Globals. The Global Awards will host its annual show December 1 in New York and Sydney.
The agency’s beautifully designed and simply communicated print ads for Abington help show that advanced, innovative medical care is taking place within the suburban community, and not just in downtown Philadelphia. The ads show a different part of a patient’s neck, spine or torso superimposed with a finely detailed road or train map of the metropolitan area made to resemble a web of arteries or blood vessels or the spinal column.
The Lenox Hill print ad, “Arteries,” highlights the venerable hospital’s long history of innovation and advancement. Lenox Hill Hospital on the Upper East Side of Manhattan was founded in 1857, and is now a proud member of the North Shore/LIJ Health System.
The critically-acclaimed New York-based advertising agency’s six nominations at the Global Awards tied for most advertisements from a U.S. agency. These and other advertising campaigns by DeVito/Verdi can be viewed at www.devitoverdi.com.
