Rentrak Signs Contract With Carat and Aegis Media North America

PORTLAND, Ore., Dec. 7, 2011 /PRNewswire/ — RENTRAK CORPORATION (NASDAQ: RENT), the leader in multi-screen media measurement serving the advertising, television and entertainment industries, today announced a TV Essentials(TM) contract with Aegis Media North America (AMNA), including Carat and other AMNA agencies. Aegis is the world’s largest independent media specialist and market leader in digital and diversified media solutions. Carat will be using Rentrak’s census-based currency to help them target, plan and buy television more effectively.

In addition to having access to the only fully-integrated system of detailed satellite, telco and cable TV viewing information commercially available, Carat will be able to use Rentrak’s Exact Commercial Ratings metric which is now available to the company’s TV Essentials network subscribers and can determine how each specific network advertising spot performs within an ad pod.
