Kris Humphries and Mom Will Help Taste of Home Celebrate the Holiday Cookie on ABC’s Good Morning America
NEW YORK, Dec. 8, 2011 /PRNewswire/ — Taste of Home, the No. 1 food and entertaining magazine, and the ultimate resource for many Americans to help them celebrate the holidays, will be featured on ABC’s Good Morning America tomorrow with Kris Humphries and his mom.
Humphries and his mom, Debra, will appear on the national morning show with Taste of Home editor-in-chief Catherine Cassidy to share their favorite holiday cookie recipe, a version of the small chocolate chip butter cookie. “When I heard that the hottest guy in pop culture today and NBA elite, Kris Humphries, had a mom with a great holiday cookie recipe who was a fan of Taste of Home, I knew I had to test it in the Taste of Home Test Kitchen,” said Cassidy. “It was a sensation I felt deserved to be shared, which led to an invitation to have Debra and Kris appear with me to demonstrate the cookie recipe on ABC’s Good Morning America.”
Cassidy said that Debra’s cookie recipe could be found on TasteofHome.com starting tomorrow, along with thousands of other holiday cookie recipes. “Taste of Home is the ultimate resource that families can trust and turn to for the holidays,” she said. “For holiday cookie recipes that are easy to make with affordable, everyday ingredients from the grocery store, check out our magazines, new baking book, and TasteofHome.com.”
Debra Humphries said she was excited to have her recipe featured on national television and on TasteofHome.com. “These are the cookies I make for Kris and my family every holiday, but especially Christmas,” said Debra. “I’m excited to share my recipe, and that it was tested and loved by the Taste of Home Test Kitchen.”
Kris Humphries will accompany his mom for the baking segment on ABC’s Good Morning America. He said he was looking forward to getting into the holiday spirit with his family as he prepared for the start of the NBA season. “As an NBA player, I travel a lot. I really look forward to being around home for the holidays and eating mom’s cookies,” said Humphries. “I know my mom has been reading Taste of Home and trying those recipes for years, so we’re excited that we can be here with Taste of Home to share our favorite holiday cookie recipe.”
