“The Adventures of Tintin” opening December 21, 2011 (in 3D/2D theaters and IMAX 3D) is based upon the classic comic books created by the Belgian artist Georges Remi (1907-1983), who wrote under the pen name of Herge. The series is one of the most popular European comics of the 20th century, with translations published in more than 80 languages and more than 350 million copies of the books sold to date. Presented as a 3D Motion Capture Film, the animated film is directed by Steven Spielberg and produced by Peter Jackson from a screenplay by Steven Moffat and Edgar Wright & Joe Cornish. The movie stars Jamie Bell (“Billy Elliot,” “Defiance”) as Tintin, the intrepid young reporter whose relentless pursuit of a good story thrusts him into a world of high adventure, and Daniel Craig (“Quantum of Solace,” “Defiance”) as the nefarious Red Rackham. The new film also features Andy Serkis, Simon Pegg, Nick Frost, Gad Elmaleh, Toby Jones, and Mackenzie Crook. The plan by Paramount and Sony (which distributes in specific international markets) to open “The Adventures of Tintin” overseas months ahead of the December US release – where the Herge comic books are beloved – seems to be paying off. The film recently opened overseas with an estimated $55.8 million in 19 markets. The Tintin trailer can be seen at: www.us.movie.tintin.com

Lollipops represent an estimated $400 million to $500 million in annual U.S. sales and growth in lollipop sales is outpacing that of sugar candy overall. Sweet success is coming early for My Idolpops – a company committed to creating and marketing custom-designed lollipops, all made in the USA with the highest quality standards. My Idolpops is unique in that it uses custom-designed proprietary molds to create pops that exhibit the actual shape of licensed brands, characters or logos. My Idolpops’ Smurfs movie lollipops were voted as one of the Top Ten innovative products at the 2011 Sweets & Snacks Expo by The Food Channel. Steven Liberman, who heads business development efforts for My Idolpops, states “My Idolpops’ USA-Made products are gaining ground in an increasing number of channels as retailers learn about the Company’s unique products. We are seeing healthy sell-through in an increasing number of locations ranging from dedicated candy retailers like IT’ SUGAR, including its F.A.O. Schwarz and Toys “R” Us locations in Times Square, to mass convenience outlets like 7-Eleven.”

Indeed a growing number of Hollywood Studios are selecting My Idolpops when it comes to movie confectionary licensing. Movies such as Rango (Paramount Pictures), Smurfs (Sony/Columbia Pictures) and now Tintin (DreamWorks /Paramount) are examples of entertainment firms relying on My Idolpops for quality, USA-made licensed confectionary products. The Company also has licensing agreements with DreamWorks’ “Madagascar 3″, Universal Studios’ “Universal Monsters” classic characters (such as Frankenstein, Dracula and the Wolf Man) and The Jim Henson Company. My Idolpops is rapidly building strategic alliances for national and international distribution as it embarks on marketing programs to develop its select licenses that address specific interests of consumers.
