YouMail and LetsTalk.com Form Power Play
IRVINE, Calif., Jan. 18, 2012 /PRNewswire/ — Mobile value-added service provider YouMail and online mobile retailer LetsTalk.com have agreed to offer their services to each other’s customers. As part of the agreement, YouMail’s Visual Voicemail will be preloaded on many Android and BlackBerry devices sold through LetsTalk.com, and consumers will now be able to purchase mobile devices and services through YouMail’s new online store powered by LetsTalk.com.
With YouMail’s new online mobile store (http://wireless.youmail.com), subscribers to the company’s unique Visual Voicemail service can purchase mobile phones, wireless devices and services from LetsTalk.com. When visiting the online store, YouMail users will automatically receive a custom view of the store that pertains to their existing carrier and device.
“YouMail interacts every day with its smartphone-based subscribers making it a valuable platform for delivering mobile services,” said Alex Quilici, YouMail’s CEO. “LetsTalk.com allows us to quickly offer our customers a compelling buying experience, complementing the services we develop ourselves with other relevant ones they want.”
LetsTalk.com – a leading retailer of cell phones, wireless devices and service plans — will now preload YouMail’s feature-rich Visual Voicemail Plus application on many of the Android and BlackBerry smartphones sold by the company. This provides LetsTalk.com customers with a simple “one-click” process for upgrading their basic carrier voicemail to YouMail – a leading provider of cloud-based, enhanced telecommunication services.
“We’re pleased to provide a mobile store for YouMail,” said Dave Frame, Chief Marketing Officer of Letstalk.com. “YouMail’s audience is mobile and smartphone savvy, making it the perfect audience to take advantage of our special offers by providing them with the ability to shop online, away from the pressure of retail stores. With YouMail, we now have a valuable added bonus for our customers: a state-of-the-art visual voicemail service that’s only one click away.”
Quilici said this distribution agreement presents his company with an opportunity to further showcase its popular, free Visual Voicemail app to more consumers, more quickly. Since 2009, YouMail’s Visual Voicemail Plus app has been downloaded more than three million times and had 75 million distinct callers interact with the company’s service. YouMail’s Visual Voicemail application has numerous innovative and popular features, including:
- Visual Caller ID, which visually identifies most callers with an appropriate image (such as a Facebook photo) and name, even when they’re not in a user’s address book.
- Smart Greetings, which automatically greets callers by name with little or no setup.
- Simple Sharing, which allows users to post interesting voicemails to Facebook and Twitter in just a few clicks from anywhere.
- Any Device Access, which lets users pick up their mobile voicemail on phones, tablets, computers, or even through e-mail or text messages.
YouMail can be downloaded free of charge by smartphone owners on major U.S. wireless carriers. It currently supports iPhone, BlackBerry and Android devices, as well as third-party applications developed for other mobile operating systems such as Windows Phone 7, Windows Phone 6.5 and WebOS.
