February 3, 2012

NEW YORK, Feb. 3, 2012 /PRNewswire-iReach/ — The pet-friendly New Yorker Hotel (www.NewYorkerHotel.com) will welcome more than 200 dogs and owners as guests during the Westminster Dog Show next month.

This year there are two dog spa packages for Westminster guests and friends. The first is the Classic Dog Spa Package, priced at $50 per dog, which includes Jog A Dog(TM) treadmills exclusive to the New Yorker Hotel, grooming stations, blow dryers and indoor potty areas. Guests who book this package will also receive a special edition dog show publication, free of charge, along with complementary doggie treats and pet shampoo provided by participating sponsors.

The second is the Premium Dog Spa Package, priced at $75 per dog, which includes all the amenities of the Classic Dog Spa Package, plus access to bathing areas for the dogs.

“The New Yorker Hotel is in a position to really gain the attention of the Westminster Kennel Club 2012 Dog Show Competition enthusiasts,” said Glenn Merone, front office manager. “In order to exceed the expectations of guests visiting NYC for the dog show, and add value to their visit, we implemented the dog spa facility. This Canine Club Lounge offers bathing, grooming, in-door potty areas, and complimentary pet products for guests who have access to the lounge.”

Dog spa facilities will be fully operational on the evening of Wednesday, February 8, 2012. From Thursday – Monday (Feb. 9 – 13) the dog spa will be open from 6 am to 10 pm. On Tuesday, Feb. 14, the dog spa will be open from 6 am to 10 am. After 10 am, only the potty area will be available. Dates and times are subject to change. Please see the Front Desk for details.

Accommodations are still available during the Westminster Dog Show and begin at $229 per night. These special packages must be booked by phone.

The dog spa packages are not included the room rate. The dog spa package is per dog, per room and per stay. The package tickets are available for an additional $25 for each additional dog over the Premium Dog Spa Package. All package tickets are redeemed at the front desk upon check-in.
