New York Real Estate Developer Elie Hirschfeld to Compete in Annual Climb to the Top Event at Rockefeller Center
NEW YORK, Feb. 28, 2012 /PRNewswire/ — Real estate developer Elie Hirschfeld today announced that he will participate in the annual Climb to the Top Event to be held this year on Sunday March 4th to raise money for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Climb to the Top is an unique event where participants climb 66 flights of stairs to the Top of the Rock Observation Deck in Rockefeller Center and experience an amazing view of the Manhattan skyline. Hirschfeld will participate in the elite division after finishing 2nd in his age group last year.
Mr. Elie Hirschfeld, who turned 62 last year, is an avid athlete who trains by competing in triathlons throughout the year, including Hawaii Ironman World Championship, Israman Ironman Triathlon, the Mooseman N.H. Half Ironman, several NYC Marathons, the Paris France Triathlon, the Brooklyn Bridge East River Swim and 27 years of the Mighty Hamptons Tri.
As a long-time New York real estate developer, Hirschfeld has a leg up on other participants – he trains at a building he owns climbing all 16 stories of stairs daily – Sports Club LA -Upper East Side. Also, Donald Trump, Hirschfeld’s former business partner at Penn Yards (now known as Riverside South a.k.a. Trump Place) allows Hirschfeld free rein of the 90 stories of New York City’s tallest residential tower: Trump World Tower at 845 U.N. Plaza.
