Tyrese Invites His Fans Onto a Musical Journey With New Tour
NEW YORK, March 9, 2012 /PRNewswire/ — Straight off the heels of his single “Stay” from the #1 disc Open Invitation, Tyrese embarks on national tour to promote what he describes as the best record he has ever recorded. “It is has been one of the wildest and most exciting roller coaster rides of my life,” says the Grammy-nominated actor/musician. “I never could image that after one of the biggest summers of my life I would find myself with a number one album and number one single.”
“Stay” the smooth and infections ballad has become Tyrese’s first number one single. Topping the Billboard UAC chart for an astonishing eleven consecutive weeks. “We are excited to be in the Tyrese business,” says Michael Harris SVP EMI Label Services. “We are looking forward to this new phase of the project.” The second phase of Open Invitation includes a new single currently on the radio “Nothing On You” with a new video featuring TLC bombshell Chilli as his love interest.
In support of the Open Invitation, Tyrese embarks on a national tour making stops in New York, Baton Rouge, Birmingham, Charlotte, Durham, Chattanooga and Jacksonville to name but a few of the cities currently on sale. In addition, there will be a series of international dates to be announced in the coming weeks.
As always Tyrese has his hands on multiple genres at one time. The paperback edition to his New York Times Bestseller, How To Get Out of Your Own Way, hits stores this month. He is currently penning his sophomore effort Manology with Rev. Run and before he makes his way back to the silver screen is producing a new disc for R&B crooner Leon Timbo.
