Spokane, WA (PRWEB) March 14, 2012

Developed by Cyan Worlds and published by Ubisoft, Myst V is the final episode of the Myst saga with the characters and civilization from the previous installments hanging in the balance. The dramatic storyline is enhanced by the appearance of a new character Esher, played by renowned actor David Ogden Stiers. Esher presents an entirely new point of view, casting doubt on much of the history that has transpired previously.

Myst V is the first of the series to make use of realtime 3D graphics. 3D interfaces can be cumbersome to use for novice gamers, but Myst V simplifies the interaction to allow explorers to simply point and click to move. For more advanced gamers there is a standard gaming interfaces for full freedom to move and explore anywhere.

Another innovation in Myst V are tablets that the player uses to communicate with a mysterious creatures called the Bahro. Players draw symbols on the tablets, and the Bahro will recognize the symbol and react to it.

“Myst V is a brooding, delicate, and touching culmination of the Myst series,” said Rand Miller, founder of Cyan. “So much has taken place – the simple story of father and sons that ends in Myst V with a dramatic decision and startling ramifications.”

Like the previous installments the player is required to link to other ages to solve puzzles – all the while gaining insight into story taking place. By the end of the journey the player has epic choices to make based on their experience and interactions.

Myst V: End of Ages will be available on Steam Friday March 16th and GOG.com later in March in celebration of the 19th anniversary of Myst.
