Touchstorm Delivers Premium Editorial Content to Brightcove Video Cloud Customers
NEW YORK, March 22, 2012 /PRNewswire/ — Touchstorm, the premier source for editorial video distribution and content development, today announced that its library of Howdini-branded videos are now available to Brightcove Video Cloud online video platform customers. The Touchstorm content integration makes it easy for Video Cloud publishers to put video on their sites and gives them the option to monetize it through advertising.
The partnership provides Video Cloud publishers with three viable options to add highly engaging video to their sites. Publishers are granted access to Howdini’s premium, info-based content, optimized to rank exceptionally high in major search engines. Publishers also have the option for Touchstorm to custom curate a collection of videos from video libraries across the web. Finally, publishers have the option to engage Touchstorm’s best-in-class producers who align top industry talent such as expert hosts, writers and directors to create a range of content that includes information-rich how-to video, original web series and viral content.
“Our partnership with Touchstorm for premium video content meets a real need for our customers and publishing partners,” said Chris Johnston, director of technology partnerships at Brightcove. “Touchstorm provides top content from Howdini, curated sources or in original production, enabling our customers to grow their online video initiatives by taking advantage of this vast library of engaging content.”
Through Video Cloud, Touchstorm will deliver video content covering a wide range of lifestyle-based categories. Content topics are determined using Touchstorm’s proprietary Search Revelator® product, allowing new videos to be produced based on consumer appeal and active search habits.
“As publishers continue to increase their reliance on video content, the quality and engagement levels of that content becomes a key differentiator for them, particularly as major search engines begin to favor premium content,” said Alison Provost, chairman and CEO of Touchstorm. “We could not be happier to partner with Brightcove to provide their publishing network with three options for quality online video content.”
The Howdini videos are available through the Brightcove Content Exchange, a new initiative that brings together a select group of Brightcove partners with large libraries of high quality online video and makes their content available to Video Cloud publishers.
