Coastal Uncorked Food, Wine and Spirits Festival to Feature Oceanfront Grand Tasting Pavilion and Gourmet Village Events, April 27-28

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C., April 10, 2012 /PRNewswire/ — Representatives for Coastal Uncorked Food, Wine and Spirits Festival today announced details of the Festival’s Oceanfront Grand Tasting Pavilion and Gourmet Village on April 27-28, 2012.

The two-day event will feature an Oceanfront Grand Tasting Pavilion with live entertainment, including local and regional musical acts like the Tim Clark Band, Painted Man, Grasstowne, A1A and the Austin-Mowery Band; wine, beer and spirits tasting tents; an ArborOne Gourmet Village; grape stomping; and more.

At the Oceanfront Grand Tasting Tents, attendees can sample up to 200 wines from around the world, plus sample craft brews from Better Brands, Sierra Nevada and Gordon Biersch, as well as taste barbecue provided by Sysco Foods and Louis’s at Stanford’s Southern Smokehouse.

The Gourmet Village, presented by ArborOne, will feature a host of restaurants and vendors who will showcase their best in food and merchandise. Participating restaurants include Chestnut Hill, Croissants Bistro & Bakery, Gordon Biersch, Martin’s Restaurant, Mellow Mushroom, Sea Captain’s House and Travinia Italian Kitchen. Food items will also be available for purchase, as well as art pieces and vendor wares like jams, gourmet cookies, wine lights and jewelry.

Coastal Uncorked’s Grape Stomp is new for this year’s festival. Event guests will have the opportunity to take a photo while getting a taste of old-fashioned winemaking. Donations will go directly to Horry-Georgetown Technical College and Coastal Carolina University to benefit a scholarship endowment set up by Coastal Uncorked.

The event takes place on Friday, April 27, 2012 from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. with tastings from 4-7 p.m.; and Saturday, April 28 from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., with tastings from 12-3 p.m. and 4-7 p.m. Ticket holders will have access to the festival grounds on Friday and Saturday, but must have a ticket for their designated tasting session. The event will be located on Ocean Boulevard between 8(th) and 9(th) avenues North. Tickets are $40 for each wine and beer tasting session.
