Chad C. Deaton, Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors, Baker Hughes Incorporated, Will Be Honored by the World Affairs Council of Houston on April 26th
HOUSTON, April 16, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ — The World Affairs Council of Houston will recognize Chad C. Deaton, Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors of Baker Hughes Incorporated at its annual benefit luncheon on Thursday, April 26th Noon – 1:30 p.m. Hyatt Regency Hotel, Houston.
Each year, the Council honors a member of the community who – in the spirit of Jesse and Mary Gibbs Jones – has contributed to the international life of the city. Mr. Deaton will be presented with the award before an audience of 800 business and community leaders who support the Council’s educational programs.
Past recipients include Mark Papa, EOG Resources, Rex Tillerson, Exxon Mobil Corporation; Doug Foshee, El Paso Corporation; Clarence Cazalot Jr., Marathon Oil Company; and Joe B. Foster, Newfield Exploration Company.
Condoleezza Rice, 66th Secretary of State, will be the speaker. Dr. Rice is currently a professor of Political Economy in the Graduate School of Business; the Thomas and Barbara Stephenson Senior Fellow on Public Policy at the Hoover Institution and a professor of Political Science at Stanford University. Rice also served as President George W. Bush’s National Security Advisor, the first woman to hold the position.

Chad C. Deaton is Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors of Baker Hughes Incorporated in Houston. He previously served as Chairman and CEO of Baker Hughes from 2004 through 2011. A native of Wyoming, Mr. Deaton earned a Bachelor of Science degree in geology from the University of Wyoming.
