Conversation Bronze Winner of Educational Advertising Award for Radio Advertising/Series
NEW YORK, April 19, 2012 /PRNewswire/ — Conversation is proud to announce that it has been selected as the winner of the Bronze Award for Radio Advertising/Series in the 27th Annual Educational Advertising Awards. The award specifically pertains to the work done by Conversation on their recent SUNY Plattsburgh campaign.
“The objective was to reach potential students, as well as decision makers, from the Hudson Valley region of New York and Long Island,” said Client Services Account Supervisor Kristen Link. “We wanted to relate directly to students in the radio spots.” The campaign was accompanied by online display ads, search engine marketing and landing pages. It first ran during the Fall application period and just concluded its Spring flight.
According to Link, Conversation aimed to expand SUNY Plattsburgh’s appeal beyond the classroom, focusing more on the experience of attending the school, as well as student life. In order to do this, ads featured real students from the respective targeted areas, which is what the agency believes helped to create and maintain a connection with the right audiences.
