Independent Research Firm Recognizes Deloitte as a Leading Global Commerce Services Provider
NEW YORK, April 30, 2012 /PRNewswire/ — Deloitte has been recognized as a leader in the Global Commerce Service Providers market by Forrester Research Inc., an independent technology and market research company, in its report, “The Forrester Wave(TM): Global Commerce Service Providers, Q1 2012.”
The Forrester report ranked Deloitte among the top two leaders to offer a broad suite of services, global reach and customer base, and focus on multichannel commerce. The report also highlights Deloitte’s strong strategy and planning services and notes that Deloitte differentiates through a global presence, strong program management, as well as through experience in organizational transformation, security, privacy, and tax and trade compliance issues.
“Technological innovation, dynamic consumer behavior and macroeconomic factors are converging to change the role of commerce within organizations and for the consumer,” said Alison Paul, vice chairman, Deloitte LLP and U.S. retail & distribution sector leader. “Organizations looking at international expansion and multichannel strategies for growth come to Deloitte for our digital commerce capabilities, experience in countries around the world, and ability to navigate new market opportunities and challenges.”
Forrester summarized important differentiators in the ranking of leading vendors, which includes Deloitte, by observing: “In many ways, these firms best embody our definition of a global commerce service provider. They have significant implementation experience around leading eCommerce platforms and related ecosystem technologies, but also possess a range of additional services that are important in delivering a comprehensive set of services to their commerce clients. These firms can extend well beyond the role of systems integrator. They play a critical role in defining the future state of commerce together with their clients.”
“Increasing technical, social, and behavioral connectivity is dramatically affecting the way consumers interact with enterprises, channels, and each other. This is making the role of eCommerce in organizations more critical and complex than ever,” said Kasey Lobaugh, principal, Deloitte Consulting LLP, who led the response to Forrester. “We are pleased to see that in such a challenging environment Deloitte is being recognized as a ‘trusted advisor to industry organizations seeking to transform their enterprises.’”
